直線×湾曲が交互にあしらわれた美しい八角形の深皿ボウル
ソーキルド・オルセン氏(1890-1973)がデザインしたロイヤルコペンハーゲンの作品
表と裏のフチの綺麗な朱色のラインがアクセントとなり、どこか”和”を感じさせるような落ち着いた色合いです。また、巧妙に計算され描かれた朱xゴールドの重なったラインが圧巻で、とにかく美しいです。
ライトグレー全体に入った素晴らしい貫入と美しいラインがこのシリーズの特徴といえます。
このデザインはかなり希少なお品です。
裏面に製造番号とコペンハーゲンのマークが見られます。
Thorkild Olsen氏(1890-1973)は、デンマークの陶芸家・画家です。
彼は中国の磁器に興味を持ち、アジア風の色合いの釉薬を数多く開発し、自然主義的・抽象的なデザインの作品を多く制作しました。
彼の作品は、コペンハーゲン王立美術館、装飾美術館、ニューヨーク近代美術館、パリ装飾美術館、ファエンツァの国際陶磁器美術館に展示されています。

【Royal Copenhagen Octagonal Bowl by Thorkild Olsen / 1950s】
A beautifully shaped octagonal deep bowl, where straight lines and gentle curves alternate around the rim.
This piece was designed by Danish ceramicist and painter Thorkild Olsen (1890–1973) for
Royal Copenhagen.
The fine iron-red line along both the front and back rim creates a subtle accent, giving the bowl a calm, almost Japanese-inspired feel. The carefully layered iron-red and gold lines are truly striking — refined, balanced, and simply beautiful.
The soft light-grey glaze with its elegant overall crazing is a characteristic feature of this series.
This particular design is considered quite rare.
The production number and Royal Copenhagen mark can be seen on the reverse.
Olsen had a deep interest in Chinese porcelain and developed many Asian-inspired glazes.
His work ranges from naturalistic to abstract in style, and his pieces are held in major museums including the Royal Collection in Copenhagen, museums of decorative arts in Paris, and
the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
