フランス製の白磁の可愛い取手付きのグラタン皿(2枚セット)です。
白磁(=Porcelaine)は鉄分の少ない白い陶土(磁土)の素地に透明な釉薬をかけ、高火度で焼成した純白の磁器です。原料や焼き方により、青みがかった白、乳白色、温かみのある白など多様な表情を見せてくれます。また高い耐久性があり、丈夫で使いやすいとされています。
取手部分は、花びらのような帆立の貝殻のようなデザインが施されていて心が和みます。
丈夫でしっかりした印象なので、使い方もさまざま。
前菜やサラダ、おつまみなどお料理もテーブルをおしゃれに演出してくれます。

【French Porcelain Gratin Dish Set of Two, c.1900–1940】
A charming pair of small porcelain gratin dishes from France.
Porcelain is made from fine white clay with very little iron content, covered with a transparent glaze and fired at a high temperature.
This process creates a pure white ceramic with excellent durability.
Depending on the clay and firing method, porcelain can show slightly different tones — from cool bluish white to soft milky white or a warmer shade of white.
The small handles are decorated with a scalloped design, reminiscent of flower petals or a scallop shell, which gives them a gentle and charming look.
They feel solid and durable, making them easy to use in many ways.
Perfect for serving appetisers, salads, or small dishes while adding a lovely touch to the table.
They can also be enjoyed in everyday life — for example as small dishes for snacks or even as a tray for favourite jewellery.
