【French Antique Large Floral Transferware Oval Plate By Longwy/ロンウィ窯の花柄の大きなオーバルプレート】
Longwyは、フランス北東部ロレーヌ地方の町で生まれた陶器ブランドです。
創業は1798年。長い歴史をもつ名窯のひとつです。
Longwyの特徴といえば、エマイユ（七宝風エナメル装飾）で黒い線で区切った模様の中に鮮やかな色釉を流し込む装飾。七宝焼きのような仕上がりで、とても華やかです。
アンティークやヴィンテージのLongwyは特にコレクター人気があります。
本商品は長さが約40cmほどあるかなり大きめのオーバルプレートです。
Longwyらしいフレンチブルーの華やかな花柄の転写プリントが、見応えのある美しい一枚です。

【A French Antique Large Floral Transferware Oval Plate by Longwy】
Longwy is a pottery brand from the Lorraine region in north-eastern France.
Founded in 1798, it is one of the historic ceramic factories in France.
One of Longwy’s best-known styles is enamel decoration, where colourful glazes are placed inside patterns outlined with black lines.
The finish looks a bit like cloisonné and feels very decorative.
Antique and vintage Longwy pieces are especially popular with collectors.
This plate is quite large, about 40 cm long.
The beautiful floral transfer print in Longwy’s signature French blue makes this a striking piece.
Perfect for serving a main dish at a home party — meat or fish, for example.
It would also work nicely for appetisers, hors d’oeuvres, or sandwiches.
As it is an old piece, displaying it like a small artwork as part of a collection or interior decoration is also a lovely idea.
